Midweight Interior Designer Role Summary

Our client is seeking a talented Midweight Interior Designer to join their fun, friendly and collaborative team. They are an award-winning and fast-growing interior design and architecture studio in a South West London borough. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a diverse range of high-end residential projects, both private client and developer-led, delivering beautifully detailed interiors from concept through to installation.

You’ll be joining a studio with a strong design identity, a supportive culture and an exciting pipeline of national and international work. The right designer will bring a thoughtful approach to interior design, strong FF&E expertise and the confidence to manage clients and project delivery with professionalism and flair.


Key Responsibilities

As a Midweight Interior Designer, you will be:

  • Designing cohesive interior schemes, bespoke joinery and FF&E packages using CAD, Photoshop and InDesign

  • Presenting mood boards, concept development, design documentation and physical samples to clients and the wider team

  • Managing your own projects, handling client communication, pitching ideas and maintaining strong, trusted relationships

  • Overseeing fit-out teams and contractors, ensuring a high standard of design execution and seamless project delivery

  • Managing procurement, budgeting and installation of interior schemes

  • Producing detailed specification schedules for lighting, sanitaryware, finishes and joinery

  • Supporting the studio during busy project phases and contributing positively to team culture


What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in high-end residential interior design, with a relevant design degree

  • Confident client-facing experience working with private clients and developers

  • Strong product and supplier knowledge, especially across FF&E and interior fit-out

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, MS Office, AutoCAD and EstiMac

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to present work professionally, digitally and physically

  • Experience managing procurement, budgeting, installation and contractor coordination

  • Ability to produce finishes schedules and design documentation to a high standard

  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks at once

  • A positive, collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for design
