New Business Manager

An award-winning international design studio is seeking an experienced New Business Manager to lead and expand its presence across the Western United States. This strategic role focuses on cultivating new client relationships, driving sustainable growth, and positioning the studio as a preferred partner within the hospitality and luxury development sectors.
Based in their Los Angeles studio, this role reports directly to the Head of Business Development & Marketing and works closely with firm leadership to support long-term growth objectives.
The Role
Strengthen brand visibility across key West Coast markets, with a focus on California and strategic regions including Mexico and Hawaii.
Partner with the marketing team to align business development initiatives with brand strategy, campaigns, and studio positioning.
Contribute to thought leadership, industry events, awards submissions, client communications, and strategic partnerships that drive growth.
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and pipeline opportunities to inform strategic decisions.
Support long-term growth planning alongside senior leadership.
Collaborate with design leadership and marketing to develop tailored proposals, presentations, and credentials.
Translate the studio’s design philosophy and commercial value into compelling client-facing narratives.
Ensure consistency in messaging, brand positioning, and visual identity across all business development efforts.
Participate in client meetings, interviews, and presentations (virtual and in-person).
The Successful Candidate:
5–7+ years’ experience in business development, marketing, client relations, or strategic growth within architecture, interior design, real estate development, hospitality, or luxury residential sectors.
Proven ability to originate and secure new business opportunities.
Strong marketing sensibility with experience supporting proposals, branding initiatives, and thought leadership.
Established West Coast hospitality and development network preferred.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent pursuits.
Willingness to travel as required.
