An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy operating across the property, planning, design and development sectors.
This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for translating strategic objectives into operational excellence across multiple teams, regions and service lines. Reporting directly to a senior executive leader, you will drive efficiency, consistency and commercial performance while ensuring the business delivers exceptional outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
This position is designed to support, challenge and enable delivery teams to perform at their best. The successful candidate will be a confident operator, comfortable influencing senior stakeholders and implementing meaningful change across a growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple teams and disciplines
- Implement and improve systems, processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Lead resource planning and capacity management across the business
- Monitor utilisation, profitability, fee recovery and operational performance metrics
- Identify and deliver operational improvements that drive commercial success
- Optimise business systems, including CRM and project management tools
- Chair quality and standards forums, ensuring compliance with governance, regulatory and quality requirements
- Support risk management and quality assurance processes
- Act as the operational link between key business functions, ensuring strategic initiatives are delivered effectively
- Track KPIs, report on performance and proactively resolve delivery challenges
About You
- Proven experience in an Operations Manager or Business Operations role within a professional services, consultancy, property or project-led environment
- Strong experience in resource planning, utilisation management and operational performance reporting
- Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse financial and operational data and turn insights into action
- Experience improving business processes, systems and quality frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at all levels
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with exceptional organisational skills
- Professional qualifications in operations, project management or business management, such as PRINCE2, APM or CMI, would be advantageous
