Part II Architectural Assistant Role Summary
Surrey / South London | £30,000 – £38,000 DOE
A well-established, design-led architectural studio in South London is looking for an experienced Part II Architectural Assistant to join its growing team.
The practice delivers a diverse range of residential, mixed-use, commercial and hospitality projects, offering the opportunity to work across all RIBA stages and gain hands-on project experience from concept through to completion.
This role is ideal for a motivated and technically confident Part II looking to take on greater responsibility within a collaborative and supportive studio environment.
The Role
You will support the delivery of a variety of live projects, contributing to both design development and technical coordination. The successful candidate will have solid UK practice experience, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to project work.
Key Responsibilities
- Working across all RIBA work stages
- Producing high-quality design and technical drawing packages
- Assisting with planning applications, tender packages and building regulations information
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors and clients
- Attending site visits and project meetings
- Supporting project delivery to programme and budget requirements
Skills & Experience
- Part II Architectural Assistant with strong UK practice experience
- Strong design sensibility and technical ability
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite essential
- Working knowledge of SketchUp and MicroStation
- Good understanding of UK planning policy and building regulations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Desirable
- Experience across residential, commercial, mixed-use or hospitality projects
- Confidence taking ownership of smaller project packages
- Based within a reasonable commute of South London / Surrey
