Salary Guide: £40,000 – £45,000

An award-winning architecture and design studio is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their growing team in London. Working closely with the Directors, the ideal candidate must be proactive and approachable. Experience in the built environment, architecture and/ or design sector is highly desirable.

About this Practice Manager Role

  • Office administration and coordination.
  • Event coordination including summer trips and Christmas parties, wellbeing session and social events.
  • HR – recruitment assistance; preparing interviews, assist in resource planning using CMAP software, schedule staff reviews, update staff handbooks.
  • Marketing/ PR support – assist in preparing press releases, social media, award submissions, presentations, bid preparation
  • Finance admin; working closely with the director of finance and bookkeeper, team expenses
  • IT coordination – monitor software licenses, liaise with external IT engineers
  • Implement Quality Management System (QMS) in the office, working towards ISO accreditation
  • Explore and implement environmental and social initiatives like BCorp certification
About you
  • Experience within a small to medium-sized architecture or design company.
  • Highly organised, commercially aware, and an excellent communicator.
  • Financial literacy, from invoicing to budget management
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Relevant professional experience in office administration/management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign
  • Strong prioritisation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

Benefits of this Practice Manager Role

  • Five days per week with the option of working from home on Monday and Friday (open to further flexibility for the ideal candidate)
  • 37.5 hours working work; normal hours are 8.5 hours a day, inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break; core hours are 10 am-4 pm
  • 33 days of annual leave per year, comprising 20 days of bookable leave, 8 named bank holidays and 5 days to be taken over Christmas for shutdown
  • Monthly socials (team lunches), a summer trip, Christmas party, and opportunities for further (paid) training
