Salary Guide: £40,000 – £48,000

Summary

A brilliant multi-disciplinary studio focusing on prime residential and commercial projects in London and Europe is seeking a friendly and ambitious Project Architect to join their growing team. They work across new builds, restoration, refurbishment, and extension of buildings in reputable and esteemed locations, where sensitivity to existing buildings and the location are essential.

The team is comprised of around 15 people of a mixture of Architects, Technicians, Interior Architects, and Designers and are currently working on a range of projects of varying scales, so a lot of diversity in the role and the team.

The Role

  • Seeking a qualified RIBA or ARB architect with high-end residential experience
  • To work with clients to take briefs and develop project objectives, limitations, and timeline
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams in order to establish schedules and budgets
  • Carry out site evaluations to ensure and maintain quality of work and adherence to safety standards
  • To produce design drawings and tender packages using AutoCAD
  • Working with junior members of the team at the conception stage of projects to develop the concept and produce high-quality presentations for client and planning approval

Skills

  • The right candidates should be ARB or RIBA qualified, with at least 5 years of experience
  • Have a portfolio of work that shows experience on private residential and high-end refurb projects
  • Experience in Planning, Construction, and Design of complex residential and commercial projects in architecturally sensitive and prominent areas.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of working across all RIBA work stages
  • Experience collaborating with and managing project teams, to meet project deadlines
  • Friendly and professional nature to manage and grow client relationships
  • Experience leading a small team, 5 or 6 people comfortably
  • Ability to prepare full planning and tender documentation
  • Have UK site experience, with a strong knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
  • Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Contract administration experience is preferable, though not essential
