Project Architect Role Summary

Hybrid Working | Residential & Mixed-Use Focus | London Blackfriars

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Architect to join a progressive and design-led architectural practice based in Blackfriars, London. This role would suit a capable architect with 3-5 years’ post-ARB experience, a solid grounding in residential and mixed-use schemes, and a flair for contemporary design. You’ll contribute to the delivery of high-quality projects, supporting and leading teams within a collaborative, creative studio environment. ArchiCAD proficiency is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver residential and mixed-use commercial projects from concept through to completion.

  • Oversee design quality and project delivery, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.

  • Manage project workflows and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and wider stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a supportive and collaborative working culture.

  • Use ArchiCAD confidently to develop and deliver detailed, robust design solutions.

  • Maintain positive client relationships and contribute to future project opportunities.

About You:

  • 3-5 years’ post-ARB experience, ideally gained in residential and mixed-use commercial sectors.

  • Strong design skills, demonstrated through a high-quality portfolio.

  • Proficient in ArchiCAD (essential).

  • Comfortable leading small teams and managing project stages independently.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.

  • ARB-registered, with RIBA membership preferred.

Benefits:

  • Salary of £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, paid monthly in arrears.

  • 24 days’ annual leave (rising with length of service), plus bank holidays.

  • Hybrid working: one day per week working from home, subject to agreement.

  • 5% employer pension contribution after probation.

  • RIBA membership fees covered.
