A well-established, design-led architectural practice is seeking a talented Project Architect to join its collaborative St Albans team.
With a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful, high-quality architecture across the UK and internationally, the studio works across a diverse portfolio — including town centre regeneration, residential, and low-carbon education and public buildings. Their approach combines design rigour with technical expertise, placing equal emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and user experience.

The Role
You’ll play a key role in leading the design and delivery of projects across multiple RIBA stages, working closely with directors, consultants, and wider project teams.
From early concept through to completion, you’ll take ownership of projects — ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from concept through to completion
- Develop and coordinate design proposals across all RIBA stages
- Manage client, consultant, and contractor relationships
- Oversee production of drawings, specifications, and technical packages
- Administer contracts, including reports, meeting minutes, valuations, and instructions
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, and delivery timelines
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to design reviews and studio-wide collaboration
About You
- Qualified Architect (ARB/RIBA) with UK project experience
- Proven track record delivering projects through all stages
- Strong design and technical capability
- Excellent knowledge of UK planning policy and building regulations
- Proficient in Revit (essential), AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and SketchUp
- Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and lead project teams effectively
- Passionate about high-quality, sustainable design
