Project Architect Role Summary
£45,000 – £55,000 DOE | Design-Led Private Residential Practice | North London
We are seeking a Project Architect to join a small, design-led practice working on high-quality private residential projects in North London. With a strong pipeline of ongoing work, this role is ideal for someone who can take ownership of projects and deliver them through all RIBA stages to completion on site.
This is a hands-on position within a close-knit studio, offering the opportunity to lead projects from concept through to construction, with a clear focus on design quality and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead private residential projects across all RIBA stages, from initial design through to completion on site.
- Manage and coordinate projects independently, ensuring quality, programme, and design intent are maintained throughout.
- Develop detailed technical packages with a strong emphasis on high-quality detailing.
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Oversee site progress, resolving technical issues and ensuring design integrity is upheld.
- Utilise Vectorworks and SketchUp (Enscape preferred) throughout the design and delivery process.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience delivering 2–3 private residential projects through all RIBA stages, including completion on site.
- Strong ability to lead projects independently from design through to construction.
- Excellent technical and detailing skills with a strong understanding of construction.
- Solid site experience and confidence working closely with contractors.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks and SketchUp (Enscape preferred).
- Strong communication and coordination skills across all project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and maintain project momentum.
