Project Architect / Senior Architect Role Overview
A design-led, award-winning architecture and construction studio is seeking a Project Architect or Senior Architect to join its expanding team in West London. Specialising in high-end residential projects across prime London postcodes, the studio combines architectural excellence with construction expertise under one roof, offering a truly holistic approach to design and delivery.
This role offers hands-on involvement throughout the full project lifecycle—from client briefing and concept design, through technical detailing and planning, to site coordination and final delivery. It’s an excellent opportunity for a talented architect with strong design sensibility, technical know-how, and team leadership skills to step into a senior, client-facing position.
Key Responsibilities for this Project Architect / Senior Architect Role
Take ownership of architectural projects across all RIBA stages, with a focus on high-end private residential schemes.
Collaborate closely with clients, offering informed design guidance and managing expectations from early concept to completion.
Coordinate design input across internal teams including interiors, project management, and construction.
Contribute to the preparation of planning applications, technical packages, and construction drawings.
Attend and lead site visits, design meetings, and client presentations.
Support junior staff and contribute to the development of the architectural team.
Ensure all architectural output aligns with current UK Building Regulations and best practice.
Manage time, resources, and design risk effectively to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Skills & Experience for this Project Architect / Senior Architect Role
ARB-registered / RIBA Part III qualified Architect.
A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience, ideally in high-end residential work.
Strong portfolio demonstrating delivery of high-quality private residential projects, including work within conservation areas.
Confident working across all RIBA stages with a solid understanding of planning, detailing, and construction.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, and Excel is essential; experience with SketchUp and Adobe Suite advantageous.
A proactive, organised approach with a keen eye for design and detail.
