About the Role
This award-winning practice is actively seeking a Project Architect (Vectorworks – Commercial Workplace) to lead the design and delivery of cutting-edge commercial workplace projects. This is a hands-on role for a seasoned professional with a passion for functional, flexible, and engaging workplace environments.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the full lifecycle of commercial workplace developments – from client engagement through planning, design, and delivery. Acting as a true 360 architect, you’ll bring strategic thinking, creative flair, and technical excellence to every stage.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial workplace projects using Vectorworks, ensuring cohesive and creative design execution.
Produce detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and visualisations in Vectorworks, specifically tailored for the workplace sector.
Manage all project phases, ensuring smooth delivery of commercial workplace designs on time and within budget.
Collaborate with clients to understand workplace culture, functionality, and business goals, translating them into dynamic architectural solutions.
Guide internal teams and external consultants through the entire commercial project cycle.
Maintain and enforce BIM protocols, with a particular focus on commercial workplace requirements.
Attend site visits and oversee implementation of workplace strategies on location.
Support business development by contributing to pitches and presentations in the commercial and workplace sectors.
Skills & Experience Required
Fully qualified Project Architect with 5+ years’ UK experience, ideally in commercial workplace architecture.
High-level proficiency in Vectorworks for both 2D and 3D work.
Demonstrated success in designing and delivering impactful workplace projects.
A confident communicator and organiser – a well-rounded 360 architect who thrives in collaborative and independent roles.
Strong understanding of the latest trends in workplace design and employee experience.
Proven ability to manage planning, detailing, contractor coordination, and site delivery on commercial builds.
Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance for commercial spaces.
