We’re working with a well-established, highly respected luxury interior design studio known for its timeless aesthetic, layered interiors, and beautifully curated homes. They are now looking for an experienced and dedicated Project Director to join their team at their Southwest London studio.
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the design team and managing all aspects of project delivery, from concept to completion. The ideal candidate is confident, highly organised, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment. This role sits at the heart of the studio, reporting directly to the Co-Founders and Creative Directors, and plays a key part in the studio’s growth and future direction.
What You’ll Be Doing as Project Director:
- Leading and supporting the design team across multiple high-end residential projects.
- Managing workflow, programming, and ensuring deadlines, budgets, and creative expectations are met.
- Acting as the bridge between the Creative Directors and the wider studio team, clearly communicating project direction and the studio’s design values.
- Overseeing project administration including client comms, timelines, financial forecasting, and supplier invoicing.
- Working closely with the Finance Manager and Office Manager on internal processes and studio initiatives.
- Driving business development efforts through pitching, proposal preparation, and nurturing new client relationships.
- Managing project initiation, onboarding new clients and external collaborators, and ensuring smooth delivery throughout.
- Conducting team reviews and providing support, leadership, and development to a talented team of designers.
- Reviewing technical drawings and ensuring all details are in line with the studio’s signature style and quality standards.
About You:
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior role at a luxury interior design studio.
- A natural leader with a proactive approach and strong team management skills.
- Exceptionally organised with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering excellence.
- Confident managing high-end clients and building long-term relationships.
- Fluent in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), Microsoft Office (Excel and Word), and ideally EstiMac and Monday.com.
- A strong understanding of the luxury interiors industry and an appreciation for refined, timeless design.
The Detail:
- Full-time or part-time (minimum 4 days per week).
- Studio-based role with flexible working hours (8.30/9am–5.00/5.30pm).
