A central London based Interior Design Studio specialising in high-end residential and hospitality projects is seeking an exceptional project manager to join studio. Seeking an articulate client facer with good experience in managing teams and meeting strict deadlines, this opportunity is seeking a highly motivated and driven professional with 5+ years project management experience.

This opportunity is open to considering interior designer or qualified architects. There is a preference for someone with a good technical background, site experience and an individual that that has worked on project budgets of £1-15 million. Job Description for this Project Manager Role

  • Excellent communication, manage multiple projects seamlessly
  • Prepare and issue regular reports to stakeholders of project
  • Monitor and overlook team performance, guide design team to hit project deliverables
  • Delegate weekly tasks, proactively work towards wider project goals
  • Manage development and coordination during preconstruction
  • Produce initial budge and programme
  • Prepare procurement strategy
  • Check applications for payment, review valuation and issue payment recommendations
  • Oversee tender process with assistance of the professional team
  • Coordinate and manage approval of construction information between the project stakeholders
  • Chair site meeting with project team weekly
  • Assist senior management and keep director informed of weekly tasks
  • Oversee junior staff with projects management and technical queries.

Skills Necessary for this Project Manager Role

  • Must have 5+ years project management experience in the UK
  • Architecture / Interior Architecture degree or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policies, procurement methods etc
  • Software: AutoCAD, Smartsheet, Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience in luxury residential, hospitality or commercial projects
  • Worked on project budgets of £115m
  • Worked on refurbishments and new buildings, good knowledge of bespoke high end finishes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive and receptive to feedback
  • Works well under pressure
  • Degree in interior design or equivalent
