Salary Guide: £35,000 – £42,000

My client is an award-winning innovative practice combining architecture and fabrication to deliver designs across installations, retail, hospitality and interior design. They are seeking a Business Development professional to join their commercial team. The role involves driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.

About the Business Development Specialist role

  • Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive business development and sales plans.
  • Market Analysis: Continuously assess and refine business and sales strategies based on market trends and performance metrics.
  • Sales Targets: Collaborate with upper management to set and achieve realistic sales targets.
  • Sales Tools: Implement and manage tools for tracking leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Forecasting: Use data, market analysis, and sales trends to accurately forecast future sales.
  • Collaboration: Work with finance, commercial, and other departments to ensure effective budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Client Engagement: Lead or support sales presentations and negotiations with clients.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyse sales data to identify improvement areas and implement corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Generate and present regular sales performance reports to upper management.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Customer Relations: Address customer concerns promptly and optimise sales processes for greater efficiency.
  • Adaptability: Remain flexible and adjust strategies in response to market, industry, or organisational changes.

About You

  • Min. 5 years in sales, business development, in architecture/ design/ sustainability.
  • Sales experience in design/ construction.
  • Autonomous, a self-starter, a problem-solver.
  • Confident, a strong communicator and commercial aware.
  • Literate in numeracy.
  • High attention to detail.
  • High energy, fast-paced.
