Senior Architect Role – HAUS Careers is delighted to be working with an award-winning, design-led architecture practice based in the heart of Clerkenwell. This ambitious and collaborative studio is looking for Senior Architects to join their growing team and take the lead on a range of complex, high-value projects across the commercial, residential, workplace, heritage, and creative reuse sectors.

With a reputation for delivering high-quality work and meaningful design, this is an excellent opportunity for a driven Senior Architect to take ownership of significant projects, contribute to a talented team, and progress their career within a respected London practice.

The Senior Architect Role:

As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of complex architectural projects – from early concept through to technical design and delivery on site. You’ll be expected to contribute creatively while also demonstrating leadership, technical rigour, and confidence with clients and consultants alike.

Projects typically range from £10m to £200m in construction value, requiring strong organisational skills and an eye for detail. You will join a dynamic team who work across a rich variety of sectors and scales, both in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to high-quality design and technical packages across all RIBA stages, especially Stages 3 and 4

  • Interpret design direction and deliver work to the highest standards

  • Confidently present ideas and updates to clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

  • Contribute to project planning, programme development, and design deliverables

  • Mentor junior team members and lead by example within the studio

  • Produce and review detailed drawings, specifications, and Revit models

  • Ensure full compliance with current UK Building Regulations and construction best practice

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience delivering complex architectural projects valued between £10m–£200m

  • Excellent design sensibility and strong technical capability

  • Significant experience working through all RIBA stages, especially delivery phases

  • Confident communicator and presenter, both internally and externally

  • Ability to manage project programmes and oversee key deliverables

  • Expert knowledge of UK construction methods, materials, and detailing

  • Proficient in Revit (essential) and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Excellent sketch and verbal communication skills

  • Motivated to grow within a collaborative and ambitious team

Why Join This Practice?

  • Award-winning studio with a diverse portfolio of inspiring work

  • Collaborative, inclusive, and dynamic studio culture

  • Based in Clerkenwell, at the heart of London’s design district

  • Flexible working offered: including remote days, flexible start/finish times or compressed hours

  • Strong pipeline of UK and international projects across commercial, residential, heritage, and community sectors

  • Supportive environment that actively encourages professional development and internal growth

This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Architect who’s looking to take the next step in their career, working on high-calibre projects with a respected and forward-thinking team.
