Senior Architect Role Summary

Residential Developer | Central London
£55,000 – £65,000

A design-focused residential developer with an expanding in-house architecture team is seeking a Senior Architect to join their Central London studio. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced architect who enjoys working close to the client side and wants to play a key role shaping high-quality residential schemes from concept through to completion.

Working within a collaborative and design-led environment, you will take ownership of projects across all RIBA stages, contributing to thoughtfully crafted housing that balances heritage sensitivity with contemporary design and strong technical delivery. The role suits someone confident in both design and technical coordination, with the ability to lead projects and collaborate closely with consultants and internal stakeholders.

The Role

You will take a leading position within the in-house architecture team, overseeing the design development and delivery of residential projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading residential schemes from early concept through to construction

  • Developing and coordinating design and technical information using Revit

  • Managing consultants and ensuring design intent is carried through all stages

  • Liaising with planning teams, stakeholders and external consultants

  • Supporting the delivery of projects across all RIBA stages, with particular focus on technical design and delivery

  • Contributing to design reviews and the overall architectural direction of projects

  • Mentoring and collaborating with junior members of the team

About You

You will be a confident and capable architect with strong residential experience and the ability to take ownership of projects within a developer-led environment.

We are looking for:

  • ARB-registered Architect with 5+ years post-Part III experience

  • Strong experience delivering UK residential schemes

  • Excellent Revit proficiency – this is essential

  • Experience working across all RIBA stages, particularly technical delivery

  • Strong coordination skills managing consultants and project teams

  • Confident communication and presentation abilities

  • A passion for well-crafted housing and thoughtful design

Why Join?

This is a rare opportunity to work directly within a developer’s in-house design team, offering a clear connection between design thinking and built outcomes.

You will benefit from:

  • A central role in shaping residential projects from concept to delivery

  • Working within a collaborative and design-driven environment

  • Exposure to high-quality residential developments with heritage context

  • A stable, long-term career opportunity within a growing team
