Senior Architect Role Summary

Haus Careers is proud to represent a design-led architecture and urbanism studio, currently seeking a Senior Architect to join their collaborative team based in Blackfriars, London. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in delivering large-scale residential projects in the UK, from detailed design through to construction.

The Role

You will be joining a dynamic and creative team, contributing to multiple residential-led schemes at varying stages. The position requires someone with strong technical ability, excellent design sensibility, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. You will play a key role in project delivery, from spatial coordination and technical detailing through to site involvement and completion.

Requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of five years’ post-Part III UK experience, and be confident across all project stages, particularly Stages 3–6.

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering large-scale residential projects in the UK

  • High proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows

  • Deep understanding of UK Building Regulations, London Plan, and NDSS (Nationally Described Space Standards)

  • Proven experience producing tender and construction documentation

  • Familiarity with NBS specifications

  • Strong technical knowledge, including brick cladding systems and construction detailing

  • Experience in working with Building Control and managing planning condition discharges

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Experience in attending and coordinating with site teams

You Should Be Confident In:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of projects

  • Coordinating with consultants, local authorities, and subcontractors

  • Supervising and mentoring small teams (1–3 people)

  • Communicating clearly and confidently on design and technical matters

The studio is based in a vibrant, design-focused workspace in Blackfriars, a short walk from the Thames and excellent transport links. The team values collaboration, creativity, and the balance of concept with delivery.
