Are you an experienced architect ready to lead innovative residential projects within a practice that values both professional excellence and a healthy work-life balance? Join a supportive, people-focused studio where leadership, collaboration, and wellbeing are genuinely prioritised.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Architect with a proven track record in residential design to take ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion. You’ll be part of a dynamic, collaborative studio environment based in Central/East London, mentoring junior staff whilst driving high-quality architectural outcomes.

Their culture extends beyond the workplace — regular team lunches, social events and occasional studio trips foster a vibrant community where your contributions are valued both professionally and personally. Overtime is genuinely rare, so you can enjoy life outside work as much as inside it.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary from £50,000 to £60,000 (depending on experience)

  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

  • Private healthcare and a generous pension scheme

  • A friendly, supportive studio culture with regular socials and team events

  • Opportunities for professional development and leadership

  • Respect for work-life balance with minimal overtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage residential projects, ensuring design excellence, technical accuracy, and timely delivery in compliance with UK Building Regulations, Part L, Part B (Fire Safety), and other relevant legislation

  • Oversee Revit workflows, producing detailed design packages and construction documentation

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors, fostering strong relationships

  • Manage project budgets, programmes, and quality control with an eye for risk mitigation

  • Mentor and develop junior architects and project teams, fostering growth and collaboration

  • Ensure all work complies with ARB guidelines and RIBA Plan of Work stages

  • Contribute to studio-wide initiatives and help shape the practice’s future direction

What They’re Looking For

  • ARB-registered Architect with 6+ years post-qualification experience, primarily in residential architecture

  • Proven expertise in Revit and architectural delivery from concept through construction

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A collaborative, approachable personality with a genuine commitment to a people-first culture

If you’re ready to take your career to the next level in an environment that values your expertise and wellbeing, we’d love to hear from you.
