Senior Architectural Technician Role Summary

A well-established and growing architectural practice is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its expanding technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven professional with a strong background in residential projects and a passion for producing high-quality technical information.
The Role
You will play a key role in translating client briefs into comprehensive working drawing packages and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with current UK legislation and building regulations. Alongside your technical responsibilities, you will support the coordination and delegation of work across the team, maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
This role involves regular collaboration with clients, consultants, and internal team members, requiring both strong technical expertise and confident communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and detailed working drawings and technical packages
- Interpret and develop client briefs into deliverable technical solutions
- Ensure compliance with current UK building regulations and standards
- Assist in managing project workflows, timelines, and quality control
- Support and mentor junior technicians within the team
- Liaise with external consultants, clients, and stakeholders
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ UK-based experience in residential and/or mixed-use projects
- Experience working with developer clients and national housebuilders
- Strong technical knowledge of UK building regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Revit (training provided if required)
- Understanding of M4 (Category 2 & 3) within NDSS
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Proactive approach to professional development and CPD
- Full UK driving licence
