Senior Architectural Technician / Technical Architect Role Summary

We’re working with a well-established, multidisciplinary practice looking to grow its specialist healthcare team with the addition of a Senior Architectural Technician / Technical Architect.
This practice has built a strong reputation across the healthcare sector, delivering award-winning projects for both public and private clients. Their portfolio spans community, acute, and mental health environments, as well as high-end private clinics.
Projects range from smaller, hands-on schemes up to £10m, alongside larger, more complex programmes (£20m–£30m)—offering a strong mix of delivery ownership and technical challenge.
The Role
This is a technical delivery-focused position, ideal for someone who enjoys getting into the detail and ensuring projects are well-resolved, coordinated, and buildable.
You’ll take ownership of technical packages across later RIBA stages, working closely with both internal teams and external consultants to drive quality and resolve complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality construction information
- Lead on technical delivery across RIBA Stages 4–6
- Coordinate with internal disciplines
- Liaise with contractors and consultants to resolve technical queries
- Ensure projects are delivered to a high technical and regulatory standard
About You
- Experienced Architectural Technician or Technical Architect with a strong delivery focus
- Proven track record producing detailed construction packages
- Experience in healthcare or similarly complex/regulated sectors (highly desirable)
- Strong Revit capability
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and detailing
- Methodical, detail-driven, and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
