The Opportunity

As a Senior Technician/Technologist, you will specialise in the application of building science and construction technology across a varied portfolio of architectural projects.

You will be recognised as a technical authority — capable of managing the detailed design process, coordinating production information, and overseeing construction packages. You will take a proactive lead in CAD/Revit standards, model coordination, and digital quality control.

This is a collaborative role with meaningful input into team development, project delivery, commercial performance, and business growth.

  • Advise on environmental and statutory requirements

  • Support planning and regulatory submissions

  • Prepare and coordinate technical design packages

  • Resolve technical challenges and develop specifications and material selections

  • Integrate consultant information and manage outputs

  • Liaise with authorities and external consultants

  • Support contract administration, inspections, certification, and project handover

  • Contribute to post-completion review and building performance appraisal

CAD / Revit Leadership

  • Lead preparation and coordination of CAD/Revit models in line with industry standards

  • Manage model files, clash detection reviews, and reporting

  • Act as an internal technical guide, providing one-to-one training and support

  • Maintain templates, families, symbols, and digital standards

  • Undertake quality control of models and drawing outputs

  • Support document control and resource planning

  • Contribute to technical development initiatives and user group discussions

  • Continue developing personal 3D visualisation and digital modelling skills

Commercial Contribution

  • Assist in revenue forecasting, pipeline tracking, and project reporting

  • Monitor programme changes, fee drawdowns, and resource allocation

  • Support profitability and commercial awareness on live schemes

Business Development

  • Support bid preparation, pricing exercises, and PQQ submissions

  • Contribute technical content for tenders and proposals

About You

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in building/construction environment

  • Strong experience in CAD and Revit within industry-standard frameworks

  • Ability to deliver projects to at least BIM Level 2

  • Sound knowledge of UK building regulations and technical compliance

  • Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary information

  • Suitable technical qualifications (or equivalent experience)

  • Working towards or registered with MCIAT, TCIAT, or similar

Personal Attributes

  • Technically precise and highly organised

  • Commercially aware and delivery-focused

  • Collaborative and supportive of team development

  • Confident in communication with clients and consultants

  • Adaptable, proactive, and solutions-driven
