A respected central London design studio is seeking a talented Senior FF and E Designer to take the lead on high-profile hospitality and commercial projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, detail-driven designer who enjoys overseeing concepts, guiding junior team members and delivering exceptional interiors from concept to completion.
You’ll play a key role in shaping project direction, owning client relationships and elevating the studio’s creative output.
The Role
As a senior member of the FF&E team, you’ll manage client-facing responsibilities, lead concept development and oversee the full FF&E process across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead conceptual FF&E design, research and scheme development.
Produce and oversee presentations, moodboards and materials.
Select and specify all FF&E items, finishes, lighting, carpets and bespoke pieces.
Guide and mentor junior designers, reviewing their work and offering feedback.
Prepare detailed schedules, specifications, sample boards and control books.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring all materials are appropriate and up to date.
Attend client, supplier and contractor meetings in the UK and abroad.
Ensure project timelines, budgets and quality standards are consistently met.
Support the upkeep and organisation of the sample library.
Promote CPD, staying informed of industry regulations, materials and innovation.
What you’ll bring
Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality FF&E work within hospitality or commercial sectors.
Excellent design knowledge with both creative flair and technical understanding.
Proficiency in FF&E scheduling, documentation systems and MS Office; Spexx is a bonus.
Solid knowledge of materials, finishes, suppliers and relevant fire regulations.
Confident communicator with proven client-facing experience.
Ability to lead project stages, coordinate with teams and manage demanding timelines.
