Senior FF and E Designer Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior FF and E Designer to join their studio, specialising in high-end projects across the residential (ultra-high-net-worth individuals), hospitality, and commercial sectors. This is a pivotal role requiring leadership, creativity, and precision to deliver fully integrated FF&E schemes from concept through to installation.
Senior FF and E Designer Key Responsibilities:
- Lead FF&E projects from initial concept to final installation, working closely with the interior design and architectural teams.
- Ensure cohesive integration of FF&E elements within the wider interior design vision.
- Produce detailed FF&E CAD layouts and develop project concepts.
- Design, detail, and document bespoke furniture and fittings.
- Source new, custom, antique and vintage items to suit each project brief.
- Coordinate procurement processes and manage supplier relationships, including manufacturers and purchasing agents.
- Conduct material, fabric, and finish research and sourcing.
- Identify and establish new supplier and manufacturer contacts.
- Review project budgets, quotations, and manage procurement tracking.
- Evaluate shop drawings, prototypes, and samples for quality and compliance.
- Prepare and participate in client presentations and design meetings.
- Develop specification sheets, cost schedules, and FF&E documentation.
- Develop CGI packs
- Mentor junior members of the FF&E team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in FF&E design, with a strong portfolio in high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors.
- Degree in Interior Design or Product Design (BA minimum).
- Experience in managing all phases of a project from concept through to completion.
- Prior experience in a leading UK-based design studio, particularly on hospitality or luxury residential projects.
