Summary

A bespoke high-end hospitality, residential and F+B studio is seeking a Senior FF&E Interior designer to join the team to work on high-end residential projects. Looking for someone to sit within and lead the FF&E team, and who also holds an architectural background or with technical capabilities and knowledge alongside this. You’ll be a vital contributor to this dynamic studio, where initiative and adaptability are paramount. Your role involves orchestrating and overseeing the procurement of furnishings for a diverse range of projects, each differing in scale and style.

Job description:

  • The successful candidate will assume responsibility for intricate design details and confidently lead project initiatives.
  • Oversee and mentor mid-weight and junior designers, showcasing strong leadership.
  • Adept communicator with client-facing expertise, excelling in presentations.
  • Provide support to line managers in client interactions and contribute to business growth.
  •  Exemplary organisational and time management skills, consistently meeting deadlines and adhering to project programs and scopes.
  • Display a keen understanding of budgets, maintaining commercial awareness throughout the design process.
  • Design interior spaces, encompassing both permanent architectural details and temporary elements.
  •  Effectively communicate design concepts, strategies, and material palettes, crafting innovative and cohesive spaces aligned with clients’ creative visions.
  •  Foster and strengthen relationships with suppliers, contributing to business growth.
  • Interpret technical drawings, plans, and blueprints with precision.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure successful project delivery across all phases, including design, budgets, programs, drawing packages, schedules, drawing issues, and overall project execution.
  • Flourish in this role by showcasing a keen design sensibility and fostering a collaborative team spirit.
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK.

Skills necessary:

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience in high-end residential Interior Design.
  • Proven track record of prior experience in a UK-based high-end residential studio.
  • Proficient in SketchUp, with a focus on developing innovative concepts.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and InDesign.
  • Adept hand sketching skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of suppliers, products, FF&E, and finishes.
  • Collaborative team member known for a supportive and adaptable approach.
  • Skilled in effective client communication and relationship building.
  • Exceptionally organized, ensuring seamless project management.
  • Seasoned professional, maintaining composure and focus to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Well-educated with strong presentation skills.
  • Confident, organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and consistently seeking opportunities for growth and learning.
  • A degree in Interior Design is required.
