A multidisciplinary practice integrating architecture, art, and anthropology is searching for a senior interior designer for their Dubai based studio. This is studio that explores cultural narratives through spatial design, bridging a dialogue between disciplines to create immersive environments that reflect diverse perspectives and engage communities. This opportunity is looking for an experienced and highly motivated all rounded designer with at least 6 years industry experience and would require relocating to Dubai.

Interior Designer Job Description

  • Involved in the development of multiple projects from concept to completion
  • Working with the team to manage a project efficiently to program and budget
  • Mentoring and assisting junior designers
  • Be present and involved on site with contractors and suppliers
  • Developing detailed designs and choosing materials
  • Thrive in a dynamic, fastpaced team environment.
  • Capable of working independently, collaboratively within a team, or directly with directors.
  • Confident with strong presentation skills in both faceto-face and virtual settings.
  • Possesses a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of detail drawing design.

Skills Necessary for this Interior Designer Role

  • Must have 6 years postqualification with experience leading design-led projects
  • highly effective in the design and management of high quality projects of similar scale and complexity
  • strong experience of leading project teams effectively and efficiently
  • strong technical design skills with experience at all design stages and considerable site experience
  • strong design skills in concept development, space planning and FF&E
  • excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, custom furniture design fabrication and delivery
  • strong graphic communication and presentation skills; InDesign and Photoshop skills essential
  • excellent drawing, modelling and visualization skills; CAD, Sketchup; Rhino, Enscape/Lumion an advantage
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • high levels of team spirit with a collaborative and positive approach
  • professional degree in interior design RIBA or equivalent qualification
