Job Description for this Senior Interior Designer Role

  • Direct and manage all phases of design for commercial interior projects, setting the vision and guiding the team.
  • Supervise and review design and technical drawings to ensure they meet project standards.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve any drawing inconsistencies.
  • Research and select fixtures and finishes, incorporating client feedback into the design.
  • Develop, review, and finalize space plans and detailed project drawings.
  • Monitor and manage the design budget, notifying the project manager or client of any potential variances.
  • Oversee and provide constructive feedback on the work of other designers.
  • Conduct client meetings to understand and determine space needs and project requirements.
  • Continuously update clients on design specifications and project progress.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the UK.

Skills Necessary for this Senior Interior Designer Role

  • Comprehensive understanding of design principles, space planning, and aesthetics.
  • Extensive knowledge of furniture layout concepts and interior architecture detailing.
  • Strong sketching, rendering, and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of construction documents, building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • A degree in Interior Design or equivalent is required.
