About the Studio
This is a fast-growing, award-winning interior design studio based in Reading, Berkshire, renowned for its luxurious residential interiors and architectural lighting expertise. With a loyal client base and a strong digital presence of nearly 100,000 social media followers, the studio creates bespoke homes across the UK and internationally.
You’ll be joining a tight-knit, collaborative team of six interior designers and two lighting specialists, working in a creative, design-led environment where excellence and attention to detail are at the heart of everything they do.
The role is studio-based, Monday to Friday (9am–5pm), with occasional additional hours expected during busy project phases.
What You’ll Be Doing as the Senior Interior Designer
- Taking the lead on multiple large-scale luxury residential projects from concept to completion
- Owning the process across all RIBA stages (1–6)
- Managing timelines, budgets, resources, and client communication with total confidence
- Producing and overseeing detailed technical drawings, tender packages, FF&E schedules, and bespoke joinery
- Guiding and mentoring junior team members and upholding high design standards across all touchpoints
- Working closely with architects, suppliers, and contractors to deliver best-in-class results
- Keeping your finger on the pulse of new trends, materials, finishes, and suppliers
You’ll Need to Bring
- 7+ years’ experience post-graduation, with at least 4 years in luxury residential design
- A degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
- Strong technical skills with a solid foundation in interior architecture
- Full proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Proven experience managing three or more large-scale projects simultaneously
- Confident knowledge of materials, FF&E, detailing, and bespoke joinery
- A sharp eye for scale, proportion, colour, and refined detailing
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-led attitude
- UK driver’s license and a car to get to the sites
