This is a London studio with a highly creative and detail-oriented team of talented designers that work on exceptional projects. If you have extensive experience in the high-end residential, commercial or hospitality sector this is role for you.

Senior Interior Designer Job Description

  • Work to written or verbal briefs, outlining deliverables and scopes of work for each project phase
  • Manage projects within schedule and budget, collaborating closely with the Associate Director as a senior team member
  • Lead and brief the design team on live projects, clearly defining deliverables for each phase
  • Prepare concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs, including detailed development of furniture, fixtures, lighting layouts, and site visits
  • Build and grow client-supplier relationships, actively seeking new business opportunities and participating in industry networking events
  • Mentoring and directing junior and mid-weight designers
  • Manage FF&E selection, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement
  • Oversee all Design Development packages, including redlining, and develop detailed designs with material and finish selections

Skills Necessary for this Senior Interior Designer Role

  • Extensive design and industry knowledge, with a solid track record of successful projects
  • Proven ability to create and develop compelling conceptual designs
  • Hands-on experience in FF&E selection, budgeting, scheduling, and procurement
  • Thorough experience leading projects from inception to completion, assuming full responsibility
  • Efficient in time management, resourcing, and adept at managing project teams
  • Skilled in dealing with clients, contractors, and suppliers in a highly professional manner
  • Ability to provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders on design, construction, technical, and regulatory aspects of projects
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Excel, and Studio
  • Self-motivation, efficient organisation, and excellent communication skills as a valuable team player.
