Senior Interior Designer Role Summary
We’re looking for a senior interior designer on behalf of an award-winning interior design studio that’s built a name for itself among the world’s most discerning clientele. With a dual base in leafy Hertfordshire and a stylish studio in London, this small but mighty team of 10 has delivered projects worth over £1 billion, from ultra-prime residences to luxury developments, global brands, and commercial destinations.
Their work is polished, timeless, and highly personal and the kind of clients who know exactly what they want (and expect nothing but the best).
Now, they’re looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join the team. Someone who can hit the ground running, take the lead on projects from concept to completion, and bring both creative vision and meticulous detail to the table.
The Role
This is a true all-rounder role, perfect for a Senior Designer who enjoys seeing a project through every stage—from initial briefing and concept development through to FF&E, bespoke joinery, and site delivery. You’ll work closely with high-profile clients and need to be as comfortable presenting as you are deep in CAD or negotiating with suppliers.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading projects from initial concept to final installation
- Creating mood boards, concept presentations, layouts, and detailed drawing packs
- Working directly with high-net-worth individuals, developers, and commercial clients
- Designing and developing bespoke furniture and joinery, with an eye for craftsmanship and detail
- Coordinating FF&E, finishes, and full spec packages
- Managing suppliers, procurement, and budgets confidently
- Leading site visits and ensuring smooth project delivery
- Presenting to clients and maintaining strong professional relationships throughout the process
- Collaborating with a close-knit, creative team in both the Hertfordshire and London studios
Who They’re Looking For
You’re a natural communicator with serious design credentials. Organised, polished, and passionate about delivering beautiful, functional spaces at the highest level. You thrive in a fast-paced studio, juggle multiple projects with ease, and understand the expectations that come with working in the luxury design space.
You’ll also bring:
- 6+ years of experience in high-end residential or luxury interiors
- Strong AutoCAD, Sketchup and Esti
- A refined, elegant design aesthetic with great conceptual thinking
- Confidence in developing bespoke furniture and joinery
- A black book of luxury suppliers and fabricators
- Impressive communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- A proactive, detail-focused mindset and calm under pressure
