We’re thrilled to be recruiting for a Senior Interior Designer on behalf of a prestigious luxury interior design studio based in South Kensington. With a passionate team of 47 designers, architects, and support staff, this studio is known for creating some of the most exquisite, bespoke interiors in the industry. The Role: Senior Interior Designer
We’re searching for an experienced and motivated Senior Interior Designer to lead and manage high-end residential projects from concept to completion. This role demands a creative mind, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to juggle multiple projects against tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities Include
Full project management of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring smooth delivery on time and budget.
Designing bespoke FF&E and selecting antiques alongside sourcing off-the-shelf items.
Coordinating with suppliers, contractors, consultants, and clients to maintain excellent relationships and project flow.
Leading project meetings, setting timelines, delegating tasks, and mentoring junior team members.
Being proactive and forward-thinking to troubleshoot and resolve issues onsite.
Maintaining a strong eye for detail, producing detailed drawings, specifications, and material/fabric schemes.
Reporting & Team Structure
Reports directly to the Design Director.
Typically manages a small team of 2–3 junior designers or assistants.
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry qualification in Interior Design or related field.
Minimum 6 years’ experience managing luxury interior design projects, including budgeting, quoting, and installation oversight.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience with Esti Budget Management is a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to create detailed drawings and material schemes.
Motivated, self-starter with excellent organisational and leadership skills.
