A well-established interior architecture practice based in Central London is seeking a talented and technically strong Senior Interior Designer to join their growing team. Specialising in high-quality build-to-rent (BTR) housing and amenity spaces, this studio delivers contemporary, resident-focused interiors that balance functionality with thoughtful design.

This is a leadership position, ideal for a confident and experienced designer ready to take the lead on large-scale residential projects. You will be at the forefront of the design process, managing client relationships, mentoring junior designers, and overseeing detailed joinery packages and technical drawings to the highest industry standards.

You’ll be confident in presenting design concepts, coordinating with architects and contractors, and ensuring seamless delivery from concept to completion. Your ability to lead project teams, delegate effectively, and maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders will be essential to your success in this role.

Senior Interior Designer Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead interior design projects within the build-to-rent sector from concept through to completion
  • Create and review detailed joinery designs and technical drawing packages
  • Manage client presentations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Mentor and support junior team members, delegating tasks and nurturing professional growth
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure cohesive project delivery

Senior Interior Designer Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years’ professional experience within residential or BTR interior design
  • Strong technical knowledge with a detail-oriented approach
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven leadership skills and confidence in client-facing and presentation settings
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Studio Culture & Benefits:

  • Flexible working structure – no mandatory work-from-home days, though most of the team enjoy being in the studio full-time
  • Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM.
  • Supportive, social team with a passion for quality design and delivery
  • Opportunity to take a key leadership role in a respected London design studio
