A renowned London-based design studio is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in workplace projects. About the Role
This established practice delivers an exciting mix of workplace, commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential projects across the UK and Europe. As a Senior Designer, you will have the chance to work on some of the industry’s most notable developments, taking ideas from early vision to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
Lead workplace design projects with a creative, strategic approach and a strong eye for detail.
Nurture existing client relationships and help develop new business opportunities alongside the senior team.
Oversee project teams, managing design direction, delegation, timelines and team coordination through all RIBA stages.
Confidently communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders, holding your own in meetings with suppliers, consultants and agents.
Produce and coordinate detailed design and construction documents, and specify interior architecture and FF&E packages to a high standard.
Mentor junior and graduate designers, fostering their growth and supporting the wider team.
Contribute to pitches, fee proposals and marketing activities where relevant.
Bring fresh ideas to improve studio processes and maintain the studio’s reputation for innovative, quality design.
About You
8–10 years’ experience in interior design with a focus on mid- to large-scale workplace or commercial projects.
Proven leadership skills and ability to guide teams through all project phases.
Strong design sensibility and creative flair, with meticulous attention to detail.
Skilled communicator with excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.
Strong market awareness and established network within the commercial design sector.
Proactive, positive and adaptable – thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment.
Comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines with a calm, organised approach.
Technically proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and ideally SketchUp.
