Senior Interior Designer Role Summay

A renowned London-based design studio is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Interior Designer with a strong background in workplace projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident designer ready to step up and take the lead on high-profile schemes from initial concept through to completion.

About the Role

This established practice delivers an exciting mix of workplace, commercial, hospitality, and high-end residential projects across the UK and Europe. As a Senior Designer, you will have the chance to work on some of the industry’s most notable developments, taking ideas from early vision to final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead workplace design projects with a creative, strategic approach and a strong eye for detail.

  • Nurture existing client relationships and help develop new business opportunities alongside the senior team.

  • Oversee project teams, managing design direction, delegation, timelines and team coordination through all RIBA stages.

  • Confidently communicate design concepts to clients and stakeholders, holding your own in meetings with suppliers, consultants and agents.

  • Produce and coordinate detailed design and construction documents, and specify interior architecture and FF&E packages to a high standard.

  • Mentor junior and graduate designers, fostering their growth and supporting the wider team.

  • Contribute to pitches, fee proposals and marketing activities where relevant.

  • Bring fresh ideas to improve studio processes and maintain the studio’s reputation for innovative, quality design.

About You

  • 8–10 years’ experience in interior design with a focus on mid- to large-scale workplace or commercial projects.

  • Proven leadership skills and ability to guide teams through all project phases.

  • Strong design sensibility and creative flair, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Skilled communicator with excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong market awareness and established network within the commercial design sector.

  • Proactive, positive and adaptable – thriving in a collaborative, fast-paced studio environment.

  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and deadlines with a calm, organised approach.

  • Technically proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) and ideally SketchUp.

About the Studio

This practice combines over three decades of experience with a forward-thinking, people-first culture. With a dynamic studio of around 35 creative architects and designers, they are recognised for their award-winning approach and collaborative spirit. The studio is employee-owned, empowering the whole team to shape the future direction of the business while pushing boundaries and delivering work that challenges expectations.
