An international interior design firm with studios in London and the US is looking for a strong Senior Interior Designer for their LA office. Known for award-winning work in hospitality, commercial, and high-end residential projects, they collaborate with leading architects and visionary clients to create exceptional spaces.
The successful candidate will have strong experience across large-scale hospitality and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be an all-rounder with a sleek portfolio, proven technical ability, and leadership skills to support and mentor a growing team of designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop conceptual and schematic designs, space plans, and scaled sketches aligned with client briefs.
- Produce and review detailed technical drawing packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with codes/regulations.
- Oversee FF&E selection, budgeting, procurement, and installation.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and clients on-site, problem-solving and ensuring design intent is achieved.
- Present confidently in client meetings and lead construction coordination.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to studio culture and growth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- 5+ years’ professional experience in interior architecture/design.
- Strong portfolio showcasing large-scale hospitality and/or commercial interiors (high-end residential experience a plus).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drawing packages simultaneously.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign), and Excel.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary: USD $100,000 – $125,000, dependent on experience.
