Summary

An Architecture and Interior Design firm located in London, though with Global offices, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join the team. This company has worked on a range of projects from offices, to universities and high quality private residentials. The role would involve working with clients, dealing with trades & contractors and requires a strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail and communication skills.

Job description:

  • The successful person will take control of design details and confidently lead projects.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and brief.
  • Manage and mentor mid-weight and junior designers.
  • Great organisational and time skills, keeping to deadlines and adhering to project programs and scopes.
  • Cultivating and preserving client relationships while consistently exemplifying exceptional brand representation.
  • Enforcing compliance with company systems and internal controls.
  • Serving as a role model for colleagues.
  • Demonstrating a keen understanding of budgets and maintaining commercial awareness throughout the design process.
  • Overseeing and checking technical drawings from other members of the team.
  • Regulating and checking on-site implementation.
  • Delegating and distributing workload across the team evenly.
  • Contribute to our research on innovative and sustainable materials.
  • This role would be for someone legally eligible to work in the UK.

Skills necessary:

  • BA or MA in Interior Architecture, or equivalent – with atleast 5 years of industry experience since
  • Being able to see through tasks to exceptional quality alongside deadlines.
  • Be capable of multi-tasking and living up to expectations in a fast paced and energetic environment.
  • Being reliable and driven, striving for excellence.
  • Be a great team player, with excellent collaboration skills.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully delivering high-end residential design projects and demonstrate a can-do attitude.
  • Experience in the technical aspects of design I required, with knowledge of FF&E considered a bonus.
  • Demonstrated on-site experience overseeing and verifying design implementation is highly desirable.
  • Must be experienced in AutoCAD and Revit, also Sketchup and Rhino would be a benefit so please highlight this in your application.
