A highly respected design studio is looking for a talented Senior Lighting Designer to join their dynamic team in Dubai. The Role
As a Senior Lighting Designer, you’ll take the lead in delivering exceptional lighting design solutions — from concept to completion. You’ll collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and clients to ensure every detail aligns with both aesthetic vision and technical precision. You’ll also manage and mentor junior designers, balancing creativity with functionality while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
Key Responsibilities
Develop creative lighting concepts for diverse environments, presenting ideas through sketches, diagrams, and mood boards.
Integrate lighting seamlessly with architectural and interior design features, enhancing spaces while balancing sustainability and budgets.
Lead project teams, ensuring design intent is met through every stage — from technical drawings to fixture specifications.
Act as the main point of contact for clients, presenting and refining concepts to deliver outstanding, cost-effective solutions.
Oversee coordination with architects, contractors, and other disciplines to maintain a cohesive design vision throughout.
Stay up to date with the latest technologies, controls, and sustainability standards (LEED, WELL, and more).
What We’re Looking For Must-Have Skills:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within an independent lighting design consultancy.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, Adobe Creative Suite, and related design tools.
Solid technical knowledge of lighting systems, controls, and integration.
Familiarity with RIBA design stages and local standards.
Soft Skills:
Exceptional communication and presentation skills — you know how to tell a story through light.
Confident in client-facing situations and comfortable explaining and defending design decisions.
Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with ease.
A genuine passion for discovering creative, out-of-the-box lighting opportunities.
