Job Description
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will:
- Lead full project lifecycles from concept through installation, ensuring the design narrative remains cohesive and timeless.
- Develop and present design concepts rooted in craft, texture, and a sense of place, using mood boards, samples, sketches, and visuals.
- Produce and oversee detailed drawing packages, including joinery, bathrooms, layouts, and bespoke elements.
- Manage FF&E sourcing, procurement, and specification with a focus on authenticity, craftsmanship, and longevity.
- Oversee the selection of materials and finishes that reflect the studio’s emphasis on understated luxury.
- Collaborate closely with contractors, artisans, and specialist makers to ensure exceptional execution on site.
- Maintain budgets, cost schedules, and timelines with precision and transparency.
- Mentor and support junior team members, helping uphold the studio’s high standards of detail and design integrity.
- Attend site visits, client presentations, supplier meetings, and design workshops as the project lead.
What You Will Need
- Minimum 5 years of luxury residential experience, working on high-calibre private homes.
- Strong knowledge of high-end suppliers, bespoke makers, FF&E, materials, and finishes.
- Confident technical ability and experience producing high-quality drawing packs.
- Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating closely with a small, creative team.
- Excellent communication skills across visual, written, and verbal formats.
- A passion for designing interiors that feel warm, human, crafted, and timeless.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
- Hand-sketching skills highly advantageous.
