Salary Guide: £42,000 – £48,000


One of the UK’s leading practices is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sustainability Associate who has a passion for sustainability to join their new in-house sustainability consultancy. The team comprises a range of professionals looking to reduce the built environment’s embodied and operational carbon, and help

This growing multidisciplinary practice is well known for its sustainable-led projects, collaboration across disciplines, creative approach to architecture, and holistic thinking to the reduction their impact on the natural world. The practice is a signatory to the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge and Architects Declare.

The candidate must:

  • Have a solid understanding of architecture and the construction process
  • Have a keen interest in sustainability
  • Be an inspiring and approachable people person willing to speak at industry events, run sustainability workshops, attend seminars, and network within the industry
  • Have the ability to assess embodied carbon and have an interest in Life Cycle analysis
  • Be a capable manager of a team, provide support and guidance to the wider practice and create and develop external relationships with clients
  • Also be capable to assist the practices Environmental Management System (ISO:14001)
  • Be able to assist with business development and promote the practice’s sustainability credentials

Desirable qualities for the role:

  • A qualification in sustainability or extensive experience
  • BREEAM Assessor / WELL AP
  • Passivhaus certification
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD advantageous
