Technical Architect or Strong Part II to Work on Bespoke Heritage Residential Projects in London

Permanent, Full Time

Salary Guide: £27,000-30,000 for Architectural Assistant / or up to £35,000 for recently qualified Architect

Summary

A London heritage and conservation architectural practice is seeking a Technical Architect or strong part II to join one of their London office or potentially their countryside office. They work on stunning bespoke private residential projects,  predominately with a focus on heritage and conservation work.

Job description:

This role will require supporting the Project Architect and team working on technical residential detailing, ideally with proven examples of working on bespoke high end residential work. Whether listed building work or not.

The right candidate should be willing and have some experience working through all RIBA stages, from conception to completion, with a thorough knowledge of construction detailing and UK building regulations.

Candidates must be capable of working independently and managing their own time and deadlines – its is a team environment – however you will be managing your own workload.

Responsibilities:

  • Professional experience working on bespoke residential projects in the UK
  • Excellent technical ability, with proven ability to deliver on bespoke projects
  • Good knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Ability to produce technical packages independently
  • Experience and interest in classical and traditional styles of architecture
  • Experience working in ArchiCAD is an advantage, so please highlight this in your application where relevant, otherwise a willingness to learn as full training can be provided
  • Genuine passion for high quality design and classical architecture
  • Hand-sketching ability and a creative flair a bonus

This is small niche bespoke residential practice, based in central London, who work on stunning bespoke projects, often in listed buildings, with a conservation or heritage element, hybrid with new build projects.

They have team days, and where some travel just outside of London will be required for project (during the workday and all fees will be paid by the studio) they also encourage learning and socials together.

As a practice they have worked on some of the UK’s most notable bespoke heritage projects, and all share a passion for conservation and preservation, working predominantly on listed buildings.
