The Technical Director Role:
You will be responsible for delivering technically excellent architecture, ensuring design integrity is maintained from concept to completion. Working closely with the Partners and alongside some of the best architects in the world, you’ll be key in bridging the creative with the technical, setting the standard for quality and innovation.
This role would suit either an established Technical Director or a strong Associate who’s ready to step up into a leadership role with the potential to gain profit shares and long-term equity.
Key Responsibilities for this Technical Director Role:
Lead technical delivery on world-class projects across multiple continents
Ensure seamless integration of design with technical excellence across all stages
Mentor and guide project teams while promoting a collaborative studio culture
Liaise with consultants, contractors and clients throughout delivery
Uphold the studio’s design values while maintaining practical execution
Champion quality control, compliance, and construction stage oversight
About You:
An all-rounder with strong design sensibility and a keen eye for detail
10+ years’ experience in architectural practice, ideally on international, design-led projects
Passionate about high-quality architecture, from concept through delivery
Excellent knowledge of UK building regulations and construction standards
Confident communicator and problem-solver
Proficient in Revit and delivery software
A team player who’s happy to get stuck in, no matter the task
