About the Studio
A boutique interior design studio based in Hampstead, North London is seeking an experienced Technical Interior Designer to join their small, close-knit team. The practice specialises in high-end residential projects across London, the English countryside, and Europe – blending timeless elegance with modern functionality.

The Role
This is a hands-on, technically focused position, ideal for a designer who enjoys the detail behind beautiful interiors. You’ll take the lead on producing fully build-ready drawing packages – from concept design through to construction – and act as the studio’s go-to CAD expert.
Working closely with the Creative Director, Studio Manager, and remote Senior Designer, you’ll ensure the smooth technical delivery of projects of varying scale and location.
Key Responsibilities
Produce detailed technical drawing packages including plans, elevations, joinery, lighting, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Create construction-level documentation with accurate dimensions, tile layouts, and fixture positioning.
Conduct site surveys and prepare plans and elevations where no architect is engaged.
Collaborate closely with contractors, joiners, and suppliers to resolve technical queries.
Prepare presentation and tender documentation for clients and contractors.
Support the Creative Director in developing concepts and detailing, while procurement is managed by the Studio Manager.
About You
5+ years’ experience within a luxury residential interior design studio.
Strong technical proficiency in AutoCAD or Vectorworks, plus 3D visualisation skills.
Confident producing construction-level details and coordinating with on-site teams.
Excellent understanding of bespoke joinery, lighting, kitchens, and bathrooms.
Numerically accurate – comfortable preparing layouts, schedules, and take-offs.
Knowledge of luxury finishes, materials, and current design trends.
Fluent in English; an additional European language is an advantage.
Comfortable working from the Hampstead office five days a week, with potential hybrid flexibility once established.
