Key responsibilities:
- Generate creative designs at all stages of projects, showcasing innovation and attention to detail.
- Assist in the efficient delivery of architectural services according to project briefs and agreed deadlines.
- Navigate constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact, and project budgets to achieve design goals.
- Engage and collaborate with clients, consultants, and project teams, ensuring effective communication and successful project outcomes.
- Develop project briefs in collaboration with clients, understanding their needs and translating them into design solutions.
- Write and present reports, proposals, applications, and contracts, effectively communicating architectural concepts and project requirements.
- Apply for planning permission and seek advice from building control and other regulatory bodies as necessary.
- Prepare technical design and specification information for construction, demonstrating a strong technical understanding of building codes and standards.
- Conduct site visits to address and resolve any construction-related issues that may arise during the project.
- Integrate sustainable design principles and ethos into new and existing projects, demonstrating a commitment to environmental responsibility.
- Deliver high-quality drawings and written output, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills and qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of UK experience post RIBA Part III, showcasing a solid foundation in architectural practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and either Archicad or Revit, enabling effective design development and documentation.
- Design-focused mindset with a passion for detailing and materiality, enhancing the overall aesthetic quality of projects.
- Sound technical knowledge and experience working with building codes and practice standards, ensuring compliance and quality in design solutions.
- Previous experience in maintaining and building relationships with clients, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
- Experience liaising with contractors and familiarity with contract administration processes, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective communication of architectural concepts and project requirements.
- Proactive and enthusiastic personality with strong interpersonal skills, contributing to a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
- Well-organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
- Eligibility to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
