Summary
The company is an award-winning, highly creative, multi-disciplinary, architecture and urban design practice. They are looking for an Urban Designer to working on projects across their portfolio including UK projects across all scales.
They have two offices in UK and this is to join their London team, a mid sized team, with a brilliant example of a truly collaborative working environment, allowing new team members the opportunity to develop your own knowledge and that of other disciplines within the studio. Key responsibilities for the right candidate:
- Post-graduate degree in urban design or Architecture, with at least 10 years post grad experience;
- Be a confident job runner, and able to assist with their master planning and speculative housing services
- Be able to work independently along with collaboratively as a team, not just within London office, but also their second office in the UK
- Some proven experience in developing urban designs in conjunction with architecture, to develope vision statements and masterplans from initial concept through to planning application stages
- Ability to work on multiple ongoing projects with independence and pro-activity as well as part of a team;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, including the ability to sketch designs on paper as well as digitally;
- Be expected to work with the production of design codes to protect masterplans during their developmental life cycle.
- Candidates should be able to show in their portfolio examples of design by hand on the computer, the practice use ArchiCAD so please highlight this in your application if relevant . Otherwise training will be provided
- Ability to work effectively in large project teams within an international environment;
- Relevant permit for working in the UK.
Requirements
- Hold a pertinent degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
- Attain Chartered member status with the Landscape Institute (near Chartered status considered).
- Hold at least 3+ years of post-qualification experience.
- Showcase a track record of successful project delivery and on-site involvement in residential and commercial landscapes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Lumion for masterplanning.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and exceptional verbal presentation proficiency in landscape architecture.
- Display adeptness with IT tools, encompassing MS Office applications.
- Possess experience in UK-based housing and commercial projects, along with interdisciplinary environments.
