Duties of an Office Manager
As the beating heart of the studio, Office Managers have a broad remit that covers elements of HR, marketing, finance and general admin. Specific duties vary from practice to practice, but usually include answering calls and greeting clients, ensuring a tidy working environment, preparing meetings, managing office supplies and post, monitoring timesheets and arranging travel.
Skills and Competencies
Good people skills and fantastic organisational skills are the most valuable tools for a successful Office Manager. It’s a role that involves managing multiple tasks simultaneously, so the ability to remain calm under pressure is essential. Good software skills including Microsoft Office are essential.
