What is a Senior Architect?

Senior Architects take a lead role the in the delivery of projects and will often work closely with company Directors to drive commercial growth for the business. With significant design and delivery experience, Senior Architects will be proficient in leading and running projects from concept to completion, managing entire design teams and dealing with contractors and consultants.

Duties of a Senior Architect

Senior Architects will often lead a mixed design team, ensuring the team is working effectively and to schedule, completing projects from design through construction. This will typically also include the professional development of more junior staff.  In addition to managing staff and designing building plans, a Senior Architect may be in charge of preparing bids and developing new and existing client relationships

Skills and Competencies

A Registered Architect with the ARB, Senior Architects will have strong technical expertise and a comprehensive knowledge of construction details and methods. Strong experience leading projects and teams to successfully deliver projects, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good working knowledge of architectural software packages such as AutoCAD, Sketch Up and Photoshop are highly advantageous. Senior Architect Jobs are a specific role so please contact us with any questions.
