Interior Architect | Athens
Athens | 40,000 – 47,000 euros
A newly established design and development business is looking for an experienced Interior Architect to join its growing team in Athens.
With a number of high-end residential and boutique hospitality projects in development, this is an opportunity to take a key in-house role, working closely with internationally recognised architects and interior designers on projects across Athens and the surrounding region.
The role
As the in-house Interior Architect, you’ll act as the link between the development team and the external design practices appointed to each project. You’ll be involved across the design process, from concept development and material selection through to technical coordination and delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
Developing interior layouts, elevations, finishes and FF&E schemes in collaboration with external design teams
Translating design concepts into detailed, buildable information
Producing and coordinating technical drawings, joinery details and FF&E schedules
Working with architects, engineers, consultants and contractors to coordinate design information
Researching and sourcing materials, finishes, furniture and specialist suppliers
Supporting site delivery and maintaining the design intent and quality of the project
Helping to resolve technical and design issues throughout the project
Attending showrooms, suppliers and international design fairs as required
About you
We’re looking for an Interior Architect or Interior Designer with 5+ years’ experience, ideally gained within high-end residential, boutique hospitality or similarly design-led environments.
You’ll need to be technically confident, highly detail-oriented and comfortable working across multiple areas of a project. Experience with Revit is particularly useful, although candidates with strong AutoCAD, SketchUp or equivalent technical software experience will also be considered.
You’ll also bring:
Strong technical and spatial understanding
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of design sensitivity
Experience coordinating with external consultants and design teams
Good knowledge of FF&E, materials and specialist suppliers
Strong communication and organisational skills
A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to multitask
A portfolio demonstrating sophisticated, well-resolved interiors
Fluent English
European project experience would be highly advantageous, particularly experience gained within established design markets such as London, Paris, Milan, Rome or Barcelona.
The opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to become the key design professional within a growing development business, working closely with established international design studios while having genuine ownership and influence over the projects.
The role is based five days a week from the company’s office in Athens. Relocation support and visa assistance are available for the right candidate.
There will also be opportunities for international travel, design fairs and supplier visits, alongside private healthcare, project completion bonuses, professional development and a competitive salary package.
