Interior Architect Role Summary

London | Contract | £210-260 per day | 4–12 weeks | Advanced 3D Modelling (SketchUp)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join a well-regarded London design studio on a temporary basis, supporting the delivery of high-end private residential projects.

The studio is looking for someone with exceptional 3D modelling skills using SketchUp and a strong conceptual design sensibility. This is a hands-on modelling role, so the ability to independently build detailed and considered 3D models from scratch is essential. The successful candidate will need to hit the ground running and be available to start within the next three weeks.

Working across a number of projects, you will initially be involved in a significant private residential scheme, supporting the progression of concept design into more developed design stages. You will help translate the initial creative vision into considered architectural proposals, with a particular focus on developing the design through detailed 3D modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of interior design concepts across high-end private residential projects.

  • Produce detailed 3D models using SketchUp, building schemes from scratch.

  • Develop and communicate design ideas through highly considered 3D visualisations and models.

  • Help progress concept designs through Stage 2 and into early Stage 3 development.

  • Incorporate architectural detailing and elements such as M&E and ventilation into 3D models.

  • Work closely with the wider design team to maintain a high standard of design quality and technical coordination.

  • Contribute to multiple projects as required by the studio.

About You:

  • Experience working within a high-end or UHNW residential interior design or interior architecture studio.

  • Advanced SketchUp skills, with proven experience building detailed 3D models from scratch. This is essential.

  • Strong conceptual design ability and a considered approach to spatial design.

  • A strong understanding of architectural detailing and design development.

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently within a collaborative studio environment.

  • Available to start within the next three weeks.

This position would suit either an Interior Designer or Interior Architect with a strong architectural approach and a portfolio demonstrating excellent 3D modelling capabilities. FF&E specialism is not required, and experience with AutoCAD or Vectorworks is not essential.

The Opportunity:

The initial contract will be for 4–12 weeks, with the potential to extend for the right person. The studio is based in London Bridge and ideally looking for someone who can work from the office at least 2–3 days per week.

If you have exceptional SketchUp skills, a strong background in high-end residential design and can start at short notice, we’d love to hear from you.
