Interior Architect / Interior Architectural Technician Role Summary
6-month contract with potential to go perm | £240 – £260 per day | London
We are working with a highly regarded interior design studio based in Putney that is looking to appoint an Interior Architect / Interior Technician to support a growing portfolio of high-end residential projects across London and internationally.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with an architectural background who is looking to specialise within interiors, or an experienced Interior Architectural Technician seeking to join a collaborative and design-focused studio environment.
Working alongside Interior Designers, FF&E Designers and Quantity Surveyors, you will play a key role in the technical development and delivery of projects, producing detailed drawing packages and coordinating interior architectural elements through the technical design stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and develop detailed technical drawing packages from Stage 3 through to Stage 4.
- Prepare construction documentation, specifications and technical detailing.
- Develop bespoke joinery packages and detailed interior architectural solutions.
- Coordinate kitchen, bathroom and interior architectural layouts.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors and suppliers throughout the technical design process.
- Support project delivery teams to ensure designs are accurately translated into construction information.
- Collaborate closely with FF&E teams and Quantity Surveyors to ensure technical and commercial alignment.
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.
- Experience working on residential, hospitality or luxury interior projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and detailing capability.
- Proven experience producing Stage 3 and Stage 4 drawing packages.
- Experience detailing bespoke joinery, kitchens and bathrooms.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- A collaborative approach and desire to work within a multidisciplinary team environment.
