Senior Interior Architect Role Summary
Luxury Residential & Retail Interiors | London | 8+ Years’ Experience
An award-winning international design and interior architecture studio is looking for a Senior Interior Architect to join its London team. Renowned for creating exceptional interiors for private and commercial clients, the studio’s portfolio spans high-end residential, hospitality, private jets and yachts in some of the world’s most exclusive locations, for high-net-worth clients.
This role is focused on luxury residential projects. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced designer with a strong technical understanding of interior architecture, a proven ability to lead on luxury projects and a passion for exceptional finishes to take real ownership within an established studio that offers room to grow.
The Role
You’ll produce full drawing packs on luxury residential projects, both independently and while leading a team, taking responsibility for the quality and coordination of the information produced. You’ll oversee room layouts and detailing, provide design, technical and administrative support to the wider team, and act as an inspirational team leader, helping the team hit deadlines and produce high-quality work. A proactive, solutions-focused approach is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce full drawing packs, including plans and detail design drawings, independently and when leading a team, in line with studio guidelines
- Analyse design objectives in line with client needs
- Produce hand sketches, drawings and schedules
- Create and oversee a team on room layouts, including kitchens, bathrooms, small power plans, lighting, RCPs, floor finish plans and elevations
- Support the creation of sourcing materials and CAD plans
- Provide design, technical and administrative support to the wider design team
- Lead, guide and inspire the team to meet deadlines and maintain a high standard of work
- Approach problems proactively, with a solutions-focused mindset
About You
- Recognised qualification in Architecture, Interior Architecture or a relevant discipline
- 8+ years’ post-graduation experience
- Sound knowledge of UK building regulations
- Strong knowledge of joinery construction and design
- Excellent knowledge of finishes and material applications
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD
- Adobe Photoshop and InDesign also very beneficial
- Proven ability to lead a team on luxury projects, with a strong eye for detail
Location & Team Setup
