Overview of the BIM Manager Role
Haus is, on behalf of their client, seeking an experienced and proactive BIM Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of BIM standards across the practice. This is a pivotal role focused on advancing digital processes and supporting architectural teams to deliver high-quality design and technical information.
Key Responsibilities for the BIM Manager
Practice Standards & Strategy
Develop, implement, and maintain BIM strategy, standards, and protocols, including templates, manuals, libraries, and custom families.
Ensure full adoption and compliance with ISO 19650 across all projects.
Lead annual ISO 19650 audits and certification processes.
Create automation tools and routines, including Dynamo scripts, to support consistency and productivity.
Prepare and negotiate BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and review associated documents (EIRs, AIRs).
Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors on BIM requirements.
Oversee model management, quality assurance, and clash detection.
Remain up to date with evolving BIM guidance and industry best practice.
Software & Technology Management
Collaborate with the IT team to manage BIM software versions and updates.
Evaluate and implement BIM-related software solutions.
Maintain strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
Explore and advise on integrations such as Solibri, Navisworks, Revizto, BIM Collab, and others.
Project Support & Delivery
Lead digital setup at key project stages and advise on modelling strategies.
Provide hands-on support for complex Revit tasks and technical problem-solving.
Conduct model audits and ensure compliance with BIM protocols.
Support teams with COBie and FM deliverables and coordinate clash detection processes.
Develop and maintain a structured internal BIM support system.
Training & Development
Identify knowledge gaps and deliver targeted training across the practice.
Develop and implement a practice-wide BIM training programme.
Onboard new team members on BIM tools and workflows.
Monitor and assess ongoing skill development within project teams.
Represent Haus at industry BIM events and bring back relevant knowledge and innovation.
Practice Integration
Support integration of BIM with sustainability tools, feasibility work, and modular design.
Research and develop workflows that enhance productivity and align with studio-wide goals.
Experience Required
Architectural degree or equivalent background.
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a BIM Manager or in a similar position within an architectural environment.
Strong understanding of architectural workflows and team requirements.
Demonstrable knowledge of ISO 19650 certification and standards.
Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and clash detection platforms.
Skilled in Dynamo scripting and BIM automation.
Confident in developing and reviewing BEPs, EIRs, AIRs, and other project documentation.
