Part II Architectural Assistant Role Summary
North London | Prime High-End Residential | £32,000 – £38,000
A boutique, design-led architectural studio based in North London is looking to appoint two Part II Architectural Assistants to join its close-knit team of nine. Fully office-based and highly collaborative, this is an opportunity to play a key role on an exciting new prime residential development in London.
With a recently secured scheme comprising a small number of exclusive, high-end units, the studio is seeking technically confident Part IIs to support delivery from Pre-Tender Stage 4 through to Construction.
The Role
This is a technically focused position within a design-driven environment. You will be deeply involved in producing detailed drawing packages, coordinating consultant information and supporting the project through tender and construction stages.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing a high volume of technical drawings in AutoCAD
Preparing detailed tender and construction information
Attending design workshops, consultant workshops and project meetings
Participating in site meetings where required
Supporting internal coordination across the team
There is potential support towards Part III qualification for the right candidate.
About You
You will be a Part II Architectural Assistant with strong technical grounding and a passion for high-end residential work. Ideally, you will have some post-Part II experience within prime or luxury residential projects, though strong newly qualified Part IIs with relevant exposure will also be considered.
You will demonstrate:
Strong technical drawing ability
Experience working from Tender to Construction stages
Excellent AutoCAD skills, this is essential
Confidence producing accurate and detailed drawing packages
A solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction detailing
Professional communication skills for both internal and client-facing settings
Building Safety Regulations knowledge and experience would be advantageous
Working knowledge of SketchUp and some exposure to Revit would be beneficial
Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a focused, studio-based setting are key.
