Part II Architectural Assistant Role Summary

North London | Prime High-End Residential | £32,000 – £38,000

A boutique, design-led architectural studio based in North London is looking to appoint two Part II Architectural Assistants to join its close-knit team of nine. Fully office-based and highly collaborative, this is an opportunity to play a key role on an exciting new prime residential development in London.

With a recently secured scheme comprising a small number of exclusive, high-end units, the studio is seeking technically confident Part IIs to support delivery from Pre-Tender Stage 4 through to Construction.

The Role

This is a technically focused position within a design-driven environment. You will be deeply involved in producing detailed drawing packages, coordinating consultant information and supporting the project through tender and construction stages.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Producing a high volume of technical drawings in AutoCAD

  • Preparing detailed tender and construction information

  • Attending design workshops, consultant workshops and project meetings

  • Participating in site meetings where required

  • Supporting internal coordination across the team

There is potential support towards Part III qualification for the right candidate.

About You

You will be a Part II Architectural Assistant with strong technical grounding and a passion for high-end residential work. Ideally, you will have some post-Part II experience within prime or luxury residential projects, though strong newly qualified Part IIs with relevant exposure will also be considered.

You will demonstrate:

  • Strong technical drawing ability

  • Experience working from Tender to Construction stages

  • Excellent AutoCAD skills, this is essential

  • Confidence producing accurate and detailed drawing packages

  • A solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction detailing

  • Professional communication skills for both internal and client-facing settings

  • Building Safety Regulations knowledge and experience would be advantageous

  • Working knowledge of SketchUp and some exposure to Revit would be beneficial

Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a focused, studio-based setting are key.

The Studio

This is a small, friendly and collaborative practice specialising in prime, bespoke residential architecture. The work is refined, considered and design-led, with a strong emphasis on quality and detail.

The studio offers:

  • A supportive team environment

  • High-end, design-focused residential projects

  • Regular social events

  • Friday drinks

  • A fully office-based culture that encourages collaboration

If you are technically confident, detail-driven and looking to contribute meaningfully within a high-end residential studio, we would love to hear from you.
